Shot Through the Heart

What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day then to take up bow and arrow cupid style.  But first, a little target practice was in order, as yours truly had never emptied a quiver of arrows into ripples of circles protecting the bull’s-eye much less into the heinies of two unsuspecting love matches.  My beau, a friend, and I found an indoor range just outside of Denver, Tanglewood Archery, where a nice woman fitted us with camo costume for our forearm and bowstring engaging fingers.  After two hours of practicing a side-on to the target stance and consistently releasing the string at the corner of my lip, I was massacring that paper target…and even occasionally piercing the center.  Move aside cupid, I’m ready to make some matches.
