I’m a self professed tomboy of the unsporty variety, “athletic” where I’m not winning wrestling matches but, yes, I will race you to the end of the block. I’m also quite contrary (darn that name rhyme) and relish in the art of dress-up now and again, just as long as I can wash the make-up off the instance were done pretending. Call it escapism, call it vanity, but don’t call it too early in the morning (har harhar…what is this a variety show?)! What better way to revel in these brief breaks from character then with a professional fashion finder! A stylist and clothing purveyor that scavenges through the duds of yore and digs up the goods so you can browse virtually, click effortlessly, and have a vintage piece delivered to your door – Mrs. TaRosa Jacobs a.k.a. Thriftonista. I stole a couple afternoons away from the jeans and tee to fill out a few of her finds and pose for the digital. Check out some of the “catalog” moments on Thriftonista under Shop. Also, a LookBook (dress-up session with light metering and art direction) shot in a recently built ultra modern home in Five Points with photographer Jeff Fryer and two other models will be debuting on the Thriftonista site in the next month.
