Eggs Sardou with Grits

Hey Donkey, Thanks for carrying the S&P load.

A friend recently opened a breakfast and lunch eatery – Sassafras (2637 W 26th Ave Denver) – not too far from our digs and it has quickly become our new favorite brunch destination. Not only is it off the beaten path in a Victorian house turned restaurant with all the stylings of dining at a friend’s home (long farm tables, cozy patio, and ooh check out the wood plank ceiling) it serves up delicious southern inspired eats using local ingredients. My favorite part of the experience (besides the yummy food and shakes) are the personal touches: homemade cloth napkins, the wait staff’s bright floral aprons, and each table has a unique pair of vintage/collectible salt and pepper shakers – subtle and functional decoration. Brilliant!

Try the in-house made Ketchup!
